GENERATOR BACKUP
This is an important one especially for up north in our network which is in need of upgrading so we are finding ourselves in regular outages, so we install generators backup for your home, workshop or business, anywhere from 2.5kva right up to 100kva if needed. Single or 3 phase, we can have auto start diesel generators so takes the need to start it manually.
HOUSE REWIRING

Are you planning on building a new home? Relocating a home or just need power to site? We offer underground mains cabling that will go to a temp builders supply to have 10 socket outlets or option for 16A option, we usually install this on a post and remove later to be installed on the building.

We have specialist test and tagging testing equipment to make it efficient for us to test your appliances. We offer 3 monthly testing for construction sites, 12 months for offices, cafes etc. 3 monthly for tools. We have colour coding test tags and create and print a test and tag registrar unique to your equipment.
DATA, PHONE AND TV
We install data cabling, phone cabling, coaxial cabling for TV and HDMI. We can install new data points around your home or office along with phone lines. If you want a TV hung on the wall you are going to need data for your ethernet connection, coaxial for your sky, and HDMI cabling for your sky box or other devices which we can hide within your wall to make this look really smart and tidy when hung on the wall.
HEALTHY HOME PACKAGES
We offer healthy home packages for our landlords which need to comply with the latest building codes. We install Bathroom extractor fans, Rangehoods and heat pumps as a package to comply. We also offer these items individually of course if you are in need of just an extraction fan for the bathroom to get rid of the mould and condensation build up.
LED LIGHTING
Replacing out old halogen downlights can not only save you money on your power bill but reduce the risk of fires and heat loss. Led emit far less heat than old halogens, the drivers and fittings can have insulation and timber abutted up to them and because of how the leds downlights are constructed there is no heat loss through the ceiling. We are ecosmart electricians so are experts in energy efficiency.
SMOKE DETECTORS
We strongly recommend having smoke detectors, it is mandatory in rentals having to be 10-year long life non-removable lithium ion batteries. You have to have them installed within 3m of every bedroom door. We also offer heat detectors for the kitchen. We offer supply and install of a 3 pack smoke alarm for $199 +GST.

GATE AUTOMATION
We have large experience with gate and automation. We can automate your single farm gate single swing all the way up to double swing automation and sliding gate motors. We can incorporate extra remotes, keypad control, driveway exit probs, video and audio intercom system and beam break for safety, we also carry out onside mig welding for brackets.
SOLAR INSTALLATION
We are experts in the field of solar installation, Grid tied, Hybrid and off-grid installations. We can design and install a package that caters for your needs. We offer installation on iron roofs, tile roofs, decramastic roofs, commercial flat roofs with tilt mounts, wooden ground mount framing. Health and safety is number one so our installs will have scaffolding in place or harness to be worn.

This is by far our favourite part of our job. I love feature lighting, especially in gardens and palms, we can cater for all your outdoor lighting needs, from lighting that one palm tree light up or a whole 2 acres, you name it, we can do it, we have done it! Usually 12-24v DC lighting with drivers, Garden spike lights, led deck recessed lights, flood lights for bigger trees or areas, RGB lighting and dimming.

HEAT PUMPS AND VENTILATION
At Leighton Electrical we install heat pump systems both residential and commercial. We can install the smaller bedroom 2kw unit or 10.3kw largest split system unit. We can install back to back units on an external wall, this is generally the cheapest option, we can also install on an internal wall but requires a condensing unit to pump the water up and out to where the outdoor unit is located. This takes more time and more materials but nonetheless achievable. We usually sit the outdoor unit on feet that are mounted to pavers or a plastic base to stop movement. Also have options for hanger brackets if the ground is not level. For commercials we can mount it on the roof. We are qualified in heat pump split system installation. Our main brands we offer are Gree which carry a 6-years warranty and Mitsubishi Electric which have a 5 year warranty. Of course we can install any brand the user would like.
SMARTVENT SYSTEMS
We are Smartvent installers. Smartvent is New zealand's leading brand of ventilation. From heat transfer kits to transfer heat from your living room to the rest of your home vents, this can be very useful and practical with a fireplace. We install positive pressure systems which moves the air from your roof space via a filter to transfer around your home vents as well as offering a summer kit which moves the air from outside bringing in cooler air. By having air movement, you help you eliminate condensation build up on your windows making your home warmer, drier and easier to heat.
